Aim
The aim of the school is to prepare the boys academically, physically and psychologically for entry into the National Defence Academy.
Concept
The concept of Sainik Schools originated with Mr. Krishna Menon, who was our Defence Minister in the early 1960s. Mr. Menon felt that a school with rudiments of a military way of life in each state of our country.
About Our School
The Government of Karnataka established Kranthi Veera Sangolli Rayanna Kshetra Development Authority working under Backward Classes Welfare Department to execute the Sangolli Rayanna Sainik School at Sangolli village Bailhongala Taluk, Belagavi Dist, to commemorate Sangolli Rayanna, the army chief of Kittur ruled by Rani Chennamma who fought against British East India Company till his last breath.
